1pm Update: Back at Sky Centre now with Dermot. Wink

Edit: No Live Desk though, just the usual Sky News Today format. As work is going on at Sky Centre are they not doing the Live Desk?

More likely that they don't want to over-complicate things after this morning- just the standard rolling news format.

AL coming from the news desk with Kay. Good to see Philippa Hall on daytime, providing the summaries.

... fingers crossed the temporary sound rig holds out through 7pm. Fancy watching CCTV to win cash? PLUS email phishing snares thousands more.

What happened during Sunrise was they were starting an interview with a doctor in Millbank, and when he started talking he couldn't be heard. Seemed like a normal, common problem you sometimes get with the interviewee's mic but then there was some feedback which made Eamonn really wince. It must have sounded much worse in his earpiece than it did on screen because he really looked very uncomfortable and then when he spoke suddenly he couldn't be heard either. It cut to commercials and came back with the Perisher documentry,

As has been mentioned, they're currently using a temporary gallery while work is ongoing in the usual one for the HD upgrade (hence the fake pictures of the gallery currently covering up the windows) and from the Guardian report above, the sound desk "blew up"!

I get in from work around 7pm (4pm UK time) and yesterday caught the tail-end of Anna Jones presenting the Afternoon programme yesterday. Isn't she good? I found her quite more watchable than the lady who normally does the programme.

According to Marcus Payne's Twitter (Studio director @ Sky), they will be using the temporary gallery until mid-December. Until then, the gallery is based in a portakabin outside.

I was gonna ask the same thing! My post above about Anna Jones was actually 4 pages-away the last time I looked!!

It's about time Sky's bosses came up with a plan to regain its position at the top. A big shake up of the schedule and presenters is what is needed. Everything has become too stagnant.
