is it just me or does nick powel constantly try and take over the programme whenever he's on? I find him one of the most irritating presenters on the channel.
Have to say that Nick Powell is by far the best sports presenter on Sky for me. Always sounds knowledgeable, can cope with Breaking News (of a sports variety of course) very admirably as well.
Always a favourite when he presented Calendar for years as well
Different newsroom shot being used overnight tonight - looks quite nice actualy - has much more depth, it also seems that there are two tickers and DOGs on screen, overlayed over each other. What are they up to? HD Upgrades?

Weres Sunrise as SKY NEWS are showing a Navy show that showed sometime ago..
Odd sound issue on one of the reports this morning. During the report on the Russian journalist that was shot, only the voice over was heard. All the interviews (apart from one that was voiced over by a translator) and pieces to camera were silent.
Sunrise was fine up until just after 7:30 when major sound problems appeared to take the programme off air. Perisher was shown to fill the gap until 8pm, then at the TOTH Adam Boulton took over on location in Manchester. Now it would appear SNT is coming from Millbank with Colin.
This was probably planned as Steve mentioned it was happening some time ago, but I think they thought Sunrise could carry on as normal while the upgrades were performed. Obviously not.
11.00 came along and Colin appeared on screen for all of half a second, then abruptly cut to 2 more adverts, then another abrupt cut to David Camerson in Manchester.
OK weird problems at the TOTH. (11am) They missed the very top as they were still showing ads, then it crashed into an Adam Boulton interview with David Cameron. Broadcasting in 4:3 with no DOGs, although they did pop up briefly as they try to resolve this mess.
