Why is it bizarre? She's a rising star, the best new newsreader in a long time and, with the exception of Kay Burley, Sky's best female presenter. Give her a permanent slot.

I like Jayne Secker. Admittedly that's partly to do with her reminding me a bit of her mum doing Tyne Tees in vision continuity. But she's a fairly decent broadcaster all the same.

I just don't rate her,but obviously some people do and I respect that.

On another note Eamonn has blogged about Sunrise and it's ratings.

It certainly looks less messy than it sometimes does on the island.

I think Lorna Dunkley is the best female presenter along with Anna Botting

I was watching Sky News earlier today, and they had the bbc news channel playing behind the presenter on two tv screens. also on one other screen Aljazzera was on!

Its so people can keep track of what other stations are covering while watching Sky News. If you see something you like, then you can quickly flick over to that station.

Kay had her husband on earlier to talk about The Sun story. That was convenient wasn't it? Showed clear bias as well when interviewing Andy Burnham and others about the issue which must stem from her hubby being the politcal editor of the paper.

Seriously, how can anyone take the woman seriously? I know I can't.
