Where is Sky News' 'Central London' studio?

4 Millbank- google map it. It shares a building with other broadcasters eg BBC.

Is Sky's Westminster studio in the same building? I ask because recently I've noticed split screen interviews where one interviewee is in 'Westminster' and the other is in 'Central London'.

So they're both in Westminster?

So what do we think Sky News will do about safe area graphics when HD is launched?

Are there likely to be 2 versions of graphics? I understand that's how Fox News does it?

Or will the HD version still be 4:3 safe to cater for those still watching in 4:3?

There were two versions when they simulcast Obama's inauguration and the Michael Jackson memorial in HD, so they can clearly do it. My guess would be for straps, DOG and ticker to have different SD and HD versions, with other graphics to remain 4:3 safe.

from my observations both our FOX News broadcast (via STAR Asia) and a Live Stream of FOX News HD...
it seems that everything there is already HD (except for the Cost of Freedom block, simulcast of FOX Business)

the only difference of the 2 broadcasts was the ticker, and the placement of the DOG.

So when they're doing two interviews that aren't 'politics' related it's to make them look as though they're in different places? I suppose it would look odd having both labelled as Westminster or Central London?

It's totally unnecessary to put the location on screen anyway if they are simply sat in another studio. It adds nothing to the story or their authority to comment on it - I don't need to know that they are in Central London its just more on screen clutter.
It's worthwhile to put the location on screen for live pictures but rarely is it useful on a live interview imho.

I agree with you, not really needed, especially as guests are usually introduced as being 'in our Westminster studio'.
