I have not heard anything to suggest a revamp of the Sky News Centre before HD. Sure things are being looked at, like you have said the newswall. The planned 'island' change is just an installation of a small round desk, because the current setup is not working. This area is looking to be used as the headline desk for the new primetime programmes and for Lunchtime Live.

They want Dermot to be part of the evening line up, but are looking at ways to fit him in at the moment, that's why he is still listed in his current slot.

LUNCHTIME LIVE!!!!!

Why do we need to go back in time, can't they just keep Afternoon Live, put Sky News Today up till twelve and then add something in for two hours.

Like 'Live, from the Sky News Centre, this is Live at Lunch, with Colin Brazier'

Or......"Sky News at One", with Colin Brazier.

Live at Five or News at Ten would suit him.

I prefer Lunchtime Live, it suits Kay - although, what if her programme was to be called Lunchtime Desk? A bit of a mix of Lunchtime Live and The Live Desk there Laughing

If these rumours of double-headed presentation are to be believed, I'm very glad - especially to see Lukwesa making it to the daytime, she is brilliant and I think her working with Colin would be great. Jacquie for Sunrise along with Eamonn though - WHAT? Surely it should be Charlotte..

Dermot for News at Ten would be fantastic, and then maybe even have Martin Stanford & Anna Botting anchoring 8-10, a proper in-depth look at the days stories with views from people via Twitter, emails, texts? I think something like that would be good in that slot.

It won't be News At Ten. Sky want to have star anchors in the primetime lineup, each having their own show, a bit like Fox News Channel. They want to keep it a news bulletin at ten.

The only way I see that happening, if Jeremy Thompson gets an hour and Dermot gets an hour. I think the case is to keep Live At Five and maybe have a 'Special Report' style programme at six. Obviously JT is the main man, so he would get the top job.

So would Kay Burley not be considered a star anchor?

I certainly don't rate her that highly but I would have thought Sky do. I really just don't see the point of this as I cant see it bringing in decent ratings, unless this is about increasing the quality of the channel to justify making it a premium service.

Thats why she will be given a 2 hour show at Lunchtime. Why she wouldn't be given a primetime slot I do not know. Eamon Holmes is also a 'star presenter', but he will continue on Sunrise but with a co-presenter.

I hope Eamonn's co-presenter is Charlotte Hawkins - the pair seem to have a very good partnership both on and off air. They would make a good team I think.

Its not out of the question, but Jacquie Beltrao is being lined up. As I said earlier, Sky want to cut down on its sports coverage, and sports presenters are looking to be re-deployed elswhere and possibly axing most of the sports bulletins and intregate them into the main news with just sport bulletins at weekends. Same with business news.

So what will happen to Anna Jones if Biz Bulletins are also being cut down?

At the moment, sport bulletins only last about 3-4 minutes anyway. They can't get much shorter.

Eamon and Jacquie are great together and should be the new Sunrise team, she's been there for ages.
