July was a good month with the Michael Jackson story etc. I think they have stopped the slump in viewing figures but they are not rising significantly either.
Seems to be a lack of sports presenters today. Chris Skudder did Sunday Sport this morning at 11:30 and he's still on now. In that time there have been, what, 5 different news anchors? And he's still got a few hours left including another half-hour Sportsline. It's not like the weather where you can just pre-record due to all the results streaming in through the day.
Elsewhere on the channel they've been going into some depth with their reporting on Afghanistan today with Jeremy Thompson on location and new graphics for Afghanistan Week.
Andrew Wilson's recent absence has been notable. Must be about 4 weeks now since he was last seen on screen?

And she was on air at the time you posted your comment
Sky News' coverage from Afghanistan has certainly been very comprehensive so far today lasting for about the first 20 minutes of every hour plus returning to Jeremy later on in the same hour.
Anna Botting is also ln location today presenting reaction from Colchester.
Sky have excellent picture quality from their main presenting point, in comparison with the BBC.
Anna Botting was in Colchester was she? I'd heard that she would be presenting from barracks in West London. Perhaps a lateish change of plan if that's correct.
