Sky News investigation finds some repair shops illegally access personal data from customers' hard drives
When it should read ...

ed

While I'm not defending the actions of the people in the computer shop, that strap line does not reflect what the Sky News investigation found, they presented no proof that it was standard practice in that shop, if they tried it in more than one shop, if it happened in any other shops... just this one occasion where it happened.
Agreed. It was an interesting piece of TV but- despite Sky News's excitement- it says absolutely nothing about computer stores in general.
There's a funny comment on one of Steve Dixon's Twitter pics called 'The happy Sky News family'. It reads: "Phew, for one minute I thought it would include Kay Burley - on reflection the words 'happy and 'family' were the clue that it wouldn't " I suspect that might get deleted soon! http://twitpic.com/awqp7
Does Sky News really have to have so many GPs and doctors contributing to the Swine Flu thing. They say the exact same thing, would it not be cheaper and better to just reshow a clip of what a GP said 6 weeks ago. The advice is still the same.
Philippa Hall was excellent on the overnight bullies last night. Really authoritative which is something that other recent newbies have lacked. She has a TOTH namecheck already and I could see her progressing quite quickly at the channel. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she's presenting the main bulletins within a year or two.

I am starting to like the single headed presentation now I must admit for a number of reasons. Although the schedule still needs cleaning up in my opinion.
Particulary after Live at Five.
7pm - 10pm Anna Botting
10pm - 1am Martin Stanford (or vice versa)
I would axe SkyNews.com and Jeff Randall Live and incorporate them into the news itself with Jeff Randall becoming a contributor.
I think the news headlines presenter needs to be axed aswell. All news being presented from the main presenter with just the business and sport having separate presenters.
Something of interest I have came across from the months around the 2005 relaunch.
Anyone remember those 'box' graphics which were dumped about 3 weeks before launch date? Well I was surprisingly a fan of them, and I have found the website of the company that designed them, theres a video were you can see how they would look on screen, and I think that they look really nice!

The final version of the 2005 graphics and that set are incomparable. The 'box' graphics are on a level with the 'cube' look of 2007. The globe background is nice and looks a lot clearer than the actual 2005 globe.
The boxes make the graphics look disjointed and the whole package looks a complete mess tbh. Thank goodness they made the right decision back in 2005!
