I think the previous schedule said Dermot would do Fridays, but he hardly ever does them. Will have to wait and see what happens when the new schedule starts

The schedule that Sky send to Digiguide only has 'Sky Today with Dermot Murnaghan' on Monday-Thursday.

Friday's are just Sky Today.

Do these schedules even matter? You're gonna see Anna Botting all over the place as always and all those new unknown presenters rotating on headlines.

Why not have Colin on The Live Desk all week and Chris cover for Dermot on Friday? Such a simple solution, but of course, as always, golden boy Brazier gets preferential treatment.

Also did anyone just see Afternoon Live just now? Kay Burley was interviewing an MP, not sure of his name sorry as I only caught the end of it, but he took objection to her when she asked whether or not politicians should be taking holidays given people are losing their jobs with the current recession. There was a bit of to-and-froing, to which she was getting visibly annoyed, and she ended up cutting him off rather abruptly. Good clip for YT if anyone captured it.

The studio work must be quite well advanced now? Does anyone have a clearer idea about what changes have taken place?

I agree with Ginnyfan that Anna Botting will be shunted around the schedule as per usual!!!

However, the biggest cracker is the description for The Live Desk at 1pm - "fast paced morning news" when did 1pm to 2pm move from afternoon to morning? Laughing

I never watched the Lord of the Rings, so I didn't recognize the music. Aplogies I got it wrong!

We still looking at late January or February?

Anna Botting starting her shift early tonight with the breaking news tonight. It was obviously judged that Ashish couldn't handle the news solo.

Yeah - sensible stuff from Sky. Ashish would have been out of his depth.

From posts on here we are being told that the desk is being moved back closer to the newswall.

The shoebox is being extended (thats the area where Kay normally uses for interviews).

And some people were suggesting that those "fins" (stupid lighting strips) are being removed.

Expecting to see changes on screen at the end of January/start of February - possibly in time for the 20th anniversary.

I was wondering, will the image on the newswall not be blurred if the desk is moved back?
