I have noticed that someone has supposedly posted the new Sky News Music for 2009 on a certain website. Certainly sounds authentic and Sky News and sounds something like a "triumph remix" which all goes well with it 20th Anniversary next month.

I hope this isnt what you are talking about... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=imQavmy09ls

This music is from Lord of the Rings.

Rather confusingly, when promoting the coverage of the Obama inauguration, as well as showing the Sky Arts HD logo (as that will be the channel where it'll simulcast in high definition) there's also a Sky News HD logo. And of course Sky News HD doesn't exist as a channel (yet!).

Also, it's probably the third or fourth completely different Sky News HD logo I've seen over the last year or so, the others were used on HD programmes on Anytime.

Updated Schedule Confirmed: http://www.skypressoffice.co.uk/common/uploads/downloads/19483_Sky_News_SN_Schedule.pdf

As expected, Colin will present BOTH editions of The Live Desk (9am - 10am & 1pm - 2pm) AND the headlines for Afternoon Live (2pm - 5pm). But Chris Roberts will cover his shifts on Fridays.

News, Sport & Weather in the evening will be presented by "Various Presenters".

Can't see anything in the schedule at the moment for that week, but I do hope that they can do something like this, from ten years ago:

I guess Colin will still cover for Dermot on Fridays as main SKy Today presenter. Chris Roberts has been ddoing the Friday Live Desk most weeks so just making official what currently happens

The new schedule still shows Samantha as doing NSW on Sunday afternoons but she hasnt done that since before she went on maternity leave

Yeah - bit messed up, I think we can now safely assume that Samantha is the headline presenter for Sky Today.

All programmes gonna be single headed, with another presenter popping up for the headlines?

According the new schedule, Dermot is doing Monday-Friday. But one hour less per day, so 15 hours per week instead of the current 16.

I think the previous schedule said Dermot would do Fridays, but he hardly ever does them. Will have to wait and see what happens when the new schedule starts
