Oh, now they really are taking the mic.

Anna Jones was an amazing presenter, it was bad enough her being shunted to the News, Sport & Weather, but BUSINESS NEWS?!

What are Sky thinking? Fair enough, when Emma first left Sky, Shola Owulu presented business news and she was ghastly. However, Sasha Twining is a rising star on Sky (IMO) and could of easily done the business updates.

I really do feel like the decisions are ruining this channel. Martin on a half hour weekday programme, solo presenting, and now one of the best signings of 2005 doing business news!

Yeh - josh205 - you are spot on!!

Anna and Martin are being treated appallingly by Sky - and they are two of the best presenters they have!! I don't think they will be hanging about for too long!!!

If you read that Biog on Anna though, she is a specialist business journalist with a great deal of experience. In the coming year of continuing credit crunch - recession - unemployment - perhaps she's quite happy to be given the chance to report and present the latest twists and turns, it will be a major story for the foreseeable future.

Its one thing Anna swapping NSW for Business but hopefully, unlike with Emma, they still let her cover other programmes. Emma did use to cover Afternoon Live and some weekend stuff occassionally before moving to Business, but ever since she moved she never did any news work apart from last week.

If Anna doesn't do any cover work the weekend presenters such as Lorna will be busier. I don't think Anna usually went a week without covering another show at least one day a week. In fact I would say she was presenting something other than NSW more often that she actually did her allocated slot

I wonder if they will appoint a permanent replacement on NSW? I would personally say Samantha is next in line, freeing up her slot on Sky Today for someone like Sasha or Jason

Sky press office site now showing details of the Obama inaugoration coverage. On Sunday 18th there are two Sunday Live's. At 10 with Colin and at 2 with Adam

Then on the 20th:
Afternoon Live from Washington 1-4.30
The actual inauguration at 4.30
Washington Live with JT from 6-7.30
Then the Obama Parade 7.30-9

Just been looking at the programme guide some more. From 2nd February there will be a new Live Desk at 9am. Sky Today will start at 10 and run until 1 as normal. Live Desk at 1 remains. No presenter is given for the new morning Live Desk

No changes beyond Jeff Randall Live going 4 days a week

Sara-Jane Mee on sky.com news tonight. Isn't she due some time off? Must have had only 1 or 2 days off since the Monday before Christmas, some days doing 2 or 3 shifts a day

What's the point of the Live Desk? Are all the other hours recorded? Of course they aren't, so what makes that one any more 'Live'?

Sky Sunrise is the only real program that works sole; I wish the main daytime/evening would go back two presenters. The studio is not used.

Anna/Lorna/Emma/Colin/Martin are all good presenters and deserve more, it has become the focus of news every 15 minutes even during the main shows.

Sarah-Jane seems very perky tonight on SkyNews.com. Maybe she's getting Anna's old slot.

It does seem strange that Anna is being sidelined like this. Especially as she is normally first choice to cover News at Ten etc when Botting is off which is quite often.

Looks like royal correspondent Sarah Hughes will be doing the 15 minute bulletins tonight. My goodness, what is happening to the channel? Rolling Eyes
