I think if they have went to the bother of moving the news desk to studio B then the work is going to take some time. It wouldn't be worth their time setting up a whole virtual studio for 2 days worth of broadcasting.

I thought it had been established that the desk in Studio B isn't the one from Studio A, as it doesn't have the dynamic front panel.

I know it is in the middle of christmas and new year but has someone at Sky not realised that has it is a working day today people may like to have a normal rolling news schedule instead of having a presenter like Dermot repeating everything every 15 minutes!!

I much prefer the weather in front of the screen than on the newswall. It looks much better.

Well obviously. Not quite what I meant but never mind.

Sunrise was odd this morning presented from studio B at the desk. Towards the end of the hour they tried to squeeze in sports headlines & viewer emails like a normal Sunrise but didn't quite work at the desk with Colin throwing to Sarah-Jane at one end who threw back to Colin who then threw back to Charlotte at the other end and everybody a little unsure as to which camera they were on and the gallery struggling to keep up. Yeh - Sunrise was really random this morning. They did the best with what was available to them but it really didn't work. When in studio B it just looks really awkward with someone else at one end of the best with the main presenter in the middle. They just seem so separated compared to how it looks in the main Sky News Room.

Its hard to explain but when you watch it just doesn't look good...

Sky EPG for Sky News Tonight (11pm - 11.30pm)....

"Chris Roberts & Gillian Joseph introduce a round-up of the day's leading stories and a look ahead to tomorrow's news."

Now that's going back quite some time!

Just because it doesn't have the dynamic panel doesn't mean it isn't the same desk. It just means they're not using the dynamic panel - I would imagine so they can make life easier for themselves.
