Do a search for 'Normal Wisdom' on the Sky News website, and it come back and says he has died.

Clicking on the link gives you a blank page.

Very strange. Possibly embargoed information that should not be on there yet?

That's odd. Norman Wisdom's website has "News Reports are false - Norman Wisdom Alive and Well." written in bold at the top.

I've not even seen it reported except for that on the Sky News website - and if it had been reported fully, then surely more news outlets would have picked up on it?

What is the size of that temporary studio B, compared to Sky News's old set before 2005?

This small temporary set, should show those higher ups, that they need to use the size of the main studio better. The shots in Studio B aren't too different to Studio A sadly!

Also, the work taking place in the studio. Is it just extending the size of the "soft area", and moving the desk closer to the newswall. Or will we be seeing the end of the red and blue colour scheme, some interesting camera angles being setup, with some nice set-pieces which you find in big US sets like MSNBC and CNN?

This has turned up on the Wikipedia page for Mr Wisdom as well. Looking down the entry log this has been going on since about 4 o'clock today. They seem to be basing this off the dead page on Sky News's website as there's no other outlet reporting this at this time.

This is not a new rumour though - The Stage reports that the death of Mr Wisdom has been going on since at least November. http://www.thestage.co.uk/features/feature.php/22373/chit-chat-a-word-to-the-wise

The dead page on Sky's site is probably an erroneous publication, with the video being one of those pre-recorded tribute packages to Mr Wisdom for airing after his death.

Yes, sadly we can say Sky has been using their Studio B for the last few years cause the selection of shots is not very different.

With the desk being moved back, surely the newsroom graphic on the newswall view will have to go, as it looks distorted close up, and isn't lined up with the rest of the studio?

I really hope they return to a graphic background.

Perhaps the possibility of distortion on the wall will mean that the desk will face in towards the newsroom.

Im guessing Nick Powell left his shift early because I heard him say "I didn't know we was doing any more"? and Sarah Jane Mee done the sport twice before him?

Some funny TOTH hours this weekend with the voice overs, they are getting overlaid with each other and big gaps between the names, and sometimes not heard at all.

He ended up doing the coming up segments earlier during Sasha Twining's shift. Drives me mad, always trying to take over. He does this on Saturday Sport all the while, Chris Roberts is the main presenter but Nick ends up doing most of the links.

I imagine he says whatever is written on the autocue for him to say.

Yeh, I would think that the virtual studio set up will remain until about the 5th January (when normally scheduling resumes) or maybe even beyond....

I think if they have went to the bother of moving the news desk to studio B then the work is going to take some time. It wouldn't be worth their time setting up a whole virtual studio for 2 days worth of broadcasting.
