I know it's not strictly about presentation, and I'm not trying to make light of the situation, but....
Deja vu, anyone?
Ginny Buckley's not on Sky News today is she?

So chaps, did La Hurly Burley do Sunrise today as usual on Christmas Day, or was it someone else this year?

I had the same thought when I received the BBC breaking news txt alert this afternoon.
Any truth to the rumour that the breaking news ticker on Sky ended with "- seriously this time"?

Yep - she most certainly did!
Don't think anyone would have the bottle to tell her she can't do it, for fear of what she might do to them!!
One year about 4 or 5 years ago she presented in the afternoon. I wonder does anyone notice that she presents it annually other than the people on this.

I'd say there were characters which had personality. I remember uploading a clip of Ginny, Mark Longhurst and Steve Dixon having a paper airoplane competition around the newsroom, wheres that personality gone now? Yes there is a need for a serious tone, but not all day every day.

When I heard the news I thought of Ginny and that blooper, it was a bad start for her and the ending was even worse. Still I wish she would be back, at least there were some funny things on Sky News back then.

That shows that the over technical TOTH approach just does not work for every hour, like the original 2005 relaunch line up. It takes up a lot of skill and resources, which I guess is why we're stuck with the very basic and bland TOTH set up.
However, in my opinion, despite the slip ups that TOTH is streets ahead of the current version.

It made me laugh that they broke the death of Harold Pinter 5 years early!
