thats what i miss from the old Sky Centre, where like overnight we had one shot of a "real" newsroom, looks neat and tidy, no graphics etc. just a nice background and single shot.

As its been mentioned on here before,its the beginning of work on the shoebox area.
I have been told it should be finished towards the end of January.

I did have a bit of a wild guess on the new look studio, I'll just explain it.
Removal of the desks behind the main newsdesk (which is currently taking place.
The desk and elbow area being moved back to meet with the current newswall walkway.
Removal of the CSO weather screen, making extra space for a shoebox area.
Leaving the mezz and 'globe' area unchanged.

If you read it says it'll be finished towards end of January... if they're expanding the shoebox area, we are most likely not going to see WIP.. things don't take 15seconds to rebuild/whatever they're doing.

This is very interesting, josh205 I think your predictions are right.
If they move the desk to where those computers behind it were, it will look better couse it will really be in the newsroom and maybe we'll get more shots of it too.
I just don't understand what can they do with a shoebox, it's a box with seats and blue glass.

Im wondering whether the box area may be enlarged in order for Sunrise to come from there....will more room for seating...
