I wonder if Martin Popplewell will pop up again over the festive period? He was on practically every night last year, but haven't seen him on air since.

God alive, the schedule from Xmas Eve to New Years Day looks like unadulterated tedium. Sunrise from 6 till 10, then SEVEN hours of non-stop News, Sport and Weather "in fifteen minutes (actually around 11 as there are ad breaks) every fifteen minutes". They aren't breaking it up at any stage with specials (except once on Boxing Day), as they are all going out either evening or overnight. That seems illogical, why not air the special/interesting programmes when there might be an audience?

That's terrible, I thought they will have some double anchored news for holidays.

All this talk of Millbank, I realised I never posted my pictures from there. Not exactly exciting, but if anybody will appreciate them, it'll be you guys.

Sky are doing everything from the mezzanine tonight.

It's been framed so neither the newswall or desk are in view.

Weather has been framed differently, perhaps pre-recorded.

Presumably the newswall is broken, they would hardly be beginning the studio work already, would they?

If it was the newswall they could reframe the shots from the desk.

So could it be that the work is taking place throughout the weekend?

on the coming up around 8:57, in the shot, someone was moving 2 white boards (just right of the newswall) and after the 9.00 headlines, someone was messing by where the desk rails are.

the in 15 minute bulletins look better from the balcony area, sitting down too. it feels a bit like Sky Sports News after Soccer Special.
