It was used once in the Republic of Ireland IIRC- on the ill fated Sky News Ireland's first show there was a report using the SkyCopter, but it wasn't live or anything and certainly bot responding to Breaking News. They never showed any lives from the France side did they though? Probably out of reach of the Sat Truck?
Sir Cliff Richard on Afternoon Live with KB today.
She got him to sing Devil woman Live on air. He sang it, pointing at Kay, each time he said devil woman!
She came back on later,"What could he possibly mean?"
Steve Dixon stayed on for an extra hour tonight to cover the breaking news story regarding Lehman Brothers on the brink of collapse. New face Tom Sandars has now taken over and probably explains why Steve was kept on for another hour. Talk about thrown in the deep end for your first shift - no doubt there will be plenty of developments over the next four or five hours.

Would that be Tom Sanders from BBC Radio News by any chance?
I only heard the audio but Keith Graves was just doing a live from New York and it seemed like he was getting some abuse shouted at him from someone in the street, he stopped talking and said "I think we have a problem here" and then I heard something that sounded like glass breaking and then the feed got cut off. Sounded very worrying, but like I said I only got the audio and Jeremy sounded jolly enough afterwards saying it was probably someone who lost their job.

Some man came straight up to the camera and started ranting about something or other, couldn't really hear him. Keith said "we have a slight problem here" while a hand was seen trying to push this guy away out of shot, but he didn't like that. Shortly after the feed was cut and a bemused Jeremy was left to pick up the pieces. It didn't look too dramatic though.

I would imagine so but I don't know for sure. He was pretty good although admittedly was looking down at his notes a bit too often, something you can get away with on the radio, but not so much on the telly.

I think the guy pulled over one their lights which would explain the breaking glass.
