Agreed really enjoyed it,great to see them going to the control room. It's always nice to see them make an effort to try something different.

Really enjoying Sky.Com News tonight with Martin covering the second part live from some sort of control centre. Sky.Com News should do this sort of thing more often IMO.

I do find it quite a shame that Martin Stanford has been demoted to such a paltry slot. I liked it when he was on Sky News Today and Saturday Live. If he had much more of a presence on the channel during the weekdays things would be much, much better, even if he only did that two hour slot on a weekend.
On the ageism front, it is not like Martin is "behind the times." First there was Technofile and now Sky.com News in his sky rocket! (Excuse the pun.)

Sky.Com News becomes SkyNews.Com from Monday. Only a minor change but it took them long enough.

Just looking at the ratings on the BARB website and in the w/e 24/08/08 the BBC had an amazing 3 times the audience of Sky News. Is this because of the Olympics?

Yes, BBC had Breakfast only on the News Channel and it averaged around 200,000 compared to the normal 35,000

Anna Jones presenting from the news desk for a change for the 8pm news with Joel Hills on hand to analyse Brown's speech. 15 minute bulletins gone out the window to cover this which seems sensible - although confusingly they still introduced it as such.

I saw a report on Sky a couple of weeks ago, presented by a young male reporter with the surname "Suchet". Is he related to JS? He did have some similarities in appearance and diction. The report was something to do with the Thames (I think).
