Loving Lisa Burke presenting Sky.com News, she comes across brilliantly. It is really quite a nifty little show, although I still think it's criminal that Martin Stanford is confined to presenting only this these days.

Sky's got some exclusive pictures from the scene of today's light aircraft crash because a crew making a documentry for Sky Real Lives was following the local air rescue team.

Sky News really must have some problem finding experts. I mean, one they've contacted for an interview this evening is ridiculous.
Like, who the hell would ask ME to go on the TV?!

Dear British Gaming Blog,
I am contacting you from Sky News, we are doing a discussion today about a woman who has been ordered to pay £16,000 for illegally sharing games and films over the internet.

We would like to interview someone from British Gaming Blog at 1930 today.
Can someone please give me a call back asap on XXXXXXX
If I can actually get there is another matter entirely. I've done telly once before, American show on G4TV about a year ago. Will keep you guys posted, and if I am there, get some nice photos. Slightly suspicious of the email though, from a yahoo account.
Edit: aha, I get the suspicion it'll be via webcam.

Not having 'trouble' at all.
A sky researcher is doing what EVERY newspaper, magazine, radio and TV station in the world do (except those who only use 'official' approved sources and PR - totalitarian states, BBC West etc)
After initial contact, a producer will talk to see if you understand the subject, have an interesting opinion and can sound confident and capable for an on-air interview (for breaking news, its just 'on-the-scene' that counts) Most contact just provides a background to the issues and allows the news staff to get a 'feel' for the story and the issues involved - if a good contributor is found then that person will be added to the database and will be called more often by the news team.
Where do you think guests for radio & TV news come from? What exactly have Sky done so wrong?
It is ridiculous-as you put it - that you do not understand how journalism works, yet feel the need to condemn

It's just his way of saying "wow, I was on telly", rather than actually saying "wow, I was on telly". Unsubtly hinting so that we can all discuss it.
