Dramatic pictures on Sky News right now of pro-Karadzic rioters in Belgrade, from Tim Marshall and a cameraman on a balcony overlooking the riots.
Just as I was channel hopping, I noticed the BBC News channel had the same pictures. I think Sky sometimes distribute internationally via APTN, so that's probably where the Beeb got the feed from, but anyway someone at Sky must have noticed that thier own pictures were appearing on the opposition and pulled the plug, and BBC News quickly got a test card.

Could well have been the fault of the agency then. Either way, BBC News were showing pictures from Sky's camera for a short while before it went to colour bars.

But usually if a broadcaster provides footage for distribution by APTN or Reuters, there are restrictions on the use - usually can't be used by a channel in the same country or online.

Is the CBS Evening News aired live on Sky News or not? How about the later airing at around 3:30am or is that a repeat of the earlier programme?
According to the EPG the 12:30am airing of CBS Evening News is live and its stated this for as long as I can remember. Considering the Sky News EPG claims Kay Burley is on air when I'm looking at Anna Botting would probably suggest how useless the EPG entries are.
Mind you the CBS "curtains" either side of non-16:9 material look nice. Pity the reports still sound pretty depressing on pretty much every issue going.

Sky News are now showing CBS Evening News in full 16:9. They are able to do this because the CBS Evening News is now produced and broadcast in HD in the States from today (most reports are still in standard def with pillars on the left and right sides of the frame).

As it's live in New York at 6.30pm and there is a five hour time difference we see it an hour late. However, we get it the same time as Chicago, an hour earlier than Colorado and two hours before L.A..!!!
In the old days Sky News used to show the US news live at 11.30pm and we used to get two half hour segments of the main networks' breakfast show at lunchtime.
That's the name of the programme. Same as last Sunday's 'Andrew Marr Show' on BBC didn't change title even though Huw Edwards was presenting.

Okay so technically it is live even if its not "live" in the traditional sense. It's just as live as it would be if one were watching in Chicago.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but Sky News is now using skynews.com, rather than sky.com/news.
Little thing I know but they only seem to be using it on air pretty recently.
