Kay just said they are now advertising their website as www.skynews.com instead of the old sky.com/news. It is appearing as skynews.com in their on air graphics. Not sure if the stings etc have been changed.

Also, they have a special programme tonight at 6.30 and again at 8.30 with Gerard Tubb on the Canoe Man case. They are plugging pretty strongly the "World Exclusive" emails that Gerard Tubb seems to have uncovered which apparently were key to the case.

All of Sky News' interviews, reports seem to be exclusives nowadays.

In this case, though, it does seem to be quite a big exclusive. The media have dug up a great deal of evidence used in this case, going back to when the newspapers were the ones tracking down their address in Panama, which the local police admitted they didn't have the resources to do themselves. It seems that these emails that Sky News handed over to the police played a fairly important role in the case (though perhaps not quite as important as they're suggesting!).

I do find it quite funny, though, that Sky now owns the Darwins' car.

I agree on this case. Sky are way ahead of the BBC and ITV. But it's hard when an interview with Sepp Bladder warrants an Exclusive banner.

Was the 7:30 program renamed?

The Sky News website does not even mention the Labour by-election defeat in Glasgow and yet it is it's top story on the news channel.

Bit of a slip up by Jason De La Pena on the sport just before 6.

"Just to confirm for you, Andy Murray out of the Toronto Masters, Rafal Nadal looks to take on - er - in the final, he'll take on, er -"

Spent the next few seconds searching his notes, but alas, was cut off bang on 5:55.

Good to see Mark Longhurst on Live at Five this weekend - much better than Andrew Wilson.

Sky News way ahead of the BBC this morning on live pictures of the Weston Grand Pier fire.

It seems the best BBC can do is pictures from hours ago

Sky News are now showing CBS Evening News in full 16:9. They are able to do this because the CBS Evening News is now produced and broadcast in HD in the States from today (most reports are still in standard def with pillars on the left and right sides of the frame).
