I think one of the reasons why Sky News has lost ratings in the past 3 years is because 2006,2007 and 2008 seem to have the most quiet news years in a long time. No major war, or huge court case or unexpected death. They excel only with breaking news and there has been none in ages.

Not to mention the Ipswich Murders, the big floods and the disappearance of Madeleine McCann...

I think you must remember though that none of those stories ran on for as long as preivious massive stories. Barring the Mccan dissapearence, but there was a limit to what they could say about it. Not that it stopped the press, but probably affected how many people tuned to sky or the beeb for coverage

The McCann story never really had just one massive day I think and I do think people weren't as interested because nothing happened after day 1. Maybe the floods, but again not hugely unusual. I don't think the Ipswich murders captured the attention to a great extent.

Perhaps Sky News bosses have put a block on including Just For Men in expense claims.

Nope, it was Eamonn on This Morning - Philip and Fern are off for the summer...

They've changed the website address as of today, skynews.com is the new link. Kay Burley has just made a point of it on Afternoon Live.
