What a time to pull it for a couple of months though when business and the economy is at the centre of the news on practically a daily basis.

Though all the city bigwigs he interviews will be lounging on the decks of the yachts for the next couple of months.

He has indeed, although he no longer hosts "Weekend Lunchtime",Lorna Dunkley has been given this slot permanently I gather. He still does "Live At 5" and was on yesterday I think.

BTW "Sky News At One" with Colin Brazier is set to start this September.

Why is there not more criticism of the Sky News website. It's horrendous. Slow, sensationalist and when you look for substance, there is none. It looks awful.

I know this sounds stupid, but if at the end of any contractual agreements BBC News had with Sky, could Sky play dirty and not allow the BBC News Channel to be renewed on the EPG?

Makes them look better. Laughing

In a word, No! Sky have to allow fair and reasonable access to their EPG. They could hardly say they've run out of room when the channel is already there, and they can't increase the price disproportionatly either. BBC have an obligation to have their channels on all platforms, so would have to pay whatever increase was determined as fair anyway.

I think one of the reasons why Sky News has lost ratings in the past 3 years is because 2006,2007 and 2008 seem to have the most quiet news years in a long time. No major war, or huge court case or unexpected death. They excel only with breaking news and there has been none in ages.
