Declan Curry, BBC Breakfast's face of the stock market, is said to be moving to Sky. A presenter on BBC News 24 for more than 10 years, Declan is so popular that there are five Facebook groups dedicated to him. No doubt Sky made an offer he couldn't refuse, although fellow presenter Maryam Mashiri might be over-optimistic when she writes on his profile, "I hope it's not for less than £3m".

Seems sky are considering their business coverage on Sky News. I remember when they had the daily business programme "Money" which was a serious daytime look at the business news and events...

Yes, I remember the Money programme well, it would be good to get something like that back to break the morning schedule up a bit. It would seem that they are reverting to their more traditional target audience, which is promising as it is something that they always did so very well. Also promising considering business news has been so poor on sky for the past few years.

EDIT: For an editorial point of view they always have a business related interview at about 10:30-ish, so that maybe something that they are looking to build upon.

Off-topic - but what does 'sticky' mean in the context of this forum?

Means it's at top of the forum regardless of whether any other posts have been made. It's been deliberately stuck there as it were, hence the term sticky.

Oh I see. Obvious really when you spell it out. Thanks.

Why IS this topic a sticky??

She's on Sky News as well, I saw her just the other day.

Well that was a shambles yesterday! Helen kicked off, seven hours on air for Paula, Anna Botting presumably called in because Steve Dixon had done seven hours.
For the love of Pete go back to double headers, then at least in situations like this one presenter can be given a break for half an hour!
I see Ryley's 'budget cuts' are working again - hiring Declan Curry must be saving the channel loads!
