Lol - I think I am the main culprit for the latest mock schedules newsnightly. So how do you know it will be Wed 4 Feb at 6am? This seems very specific! Very Happy

I've been told the same.

Why mid week?

Sky always seem to unveil their changes at quite random times - I think the last one was something like 9pm on a Thursday night or something daft.

Mr NewsNightly (I presume Mr)

Are there any Musical, Top of the Hour, or Graphical changes set to come into use, and also could you provide any clue to the newswall backing, and if strands like Sunrise and Afternoon Live etc will be getting special logos/titles like with Live Desk, Skynews.com and Jeff Randall Live...

and thank you for ending these schedule and presenter discussions, after all this is a place to discuss TV presentation!!!

I'm not in the loop about music and graphics so can't say. The aim is to make each strand feel a bit more individual within the confines of the same studio etc.

From what i've seen, Sunrise will look the most different compared to how its looked previously with Eamonn's chat show-style desk. Removing the fake newsroom screen should lighten up Dermot/JT as well.

Finally, each strand looking different in the same newsroom is a great start.

Now we need different presentation (not too different) for these strands, special logo stings/titles, and Double-headed...

SKY NEWS has done this before with some of its news. With the likes of Sky World News Tonight like this http://www2.tv-ark.org.uk/news/skynews/1989.html and http://www2.tv-ark.org.uk/news/skynews/1990.html

And they continued through to 1998-2001

Must be difficult for Sky News to revamp there set as it is based in the heart of their news centre.

Have they moved into a CSO studio or is it just a temporary set, like RTE News is doing at the moment?

They are in Studio B, which is a CSO set. But the Desk, and the two painted panels on either side are real. I think they've been in there for about a month now.
