Ginny Buckley excels herself yet again.
Buckley to sports presenter: Well, we think it's looking up for the England cricket team now, don't we? Before it wasn't so good, but now it's on the up.
Sports presenter: Erm, we've just lost the series.
Buckley: Oh...
This would be an almost identical mistake to the one she made about three weeks ago. Given I've seen her presenting only a handful of times, I'm guessing she's always like this.

I cannot believe that she is still employed - she makes Kaplinsky look like a credible journalist!

From Media Guardian:
Fur flies at Sky News
The search is on at Sky News for the mystery staffer who started firing back retorts to some of the homophobic emails sent to the channel in reaction to the wedding of Elton John and David Furnish. Some of the emails were on the redneck side of narrow-minded - including one unfortunate reference to Gary Glitter. It's good to know Sky News viewers are such a liberal, fair-minded bunch, eh? But channel deputy Simon Cole was outraged that viewers have been receiving fiery retorts from the email address "Sky News". He sent a message to staff saying it was a "very serious matter" and ordered the culprit to own up immediately or he'd send the IT sniffer dogs out to hunt them down. A spokesman said the broadcaster had apologised to the viewer concerned. Monkey also hears that almost as many emails were sent in about Sky News presenter Kay Burley, who kept the chill at bay outside Elton's Windsor bash by wearing what appeared to be a fur coat, a day after Sky News ran an exposé on the fur trade. A fur coat? The very thought!
Ho ho ho.
I noted the Burley and fur thing in another thread yesterday, but the gay emails thing is comic and disturbing. I'd say well done to whoever fired back those emails.

LOL And whilst there is this semi-public hunt for the culprit, I expect he or she will receive nout more than a camp slap on the wrist. Chances are their line manager is as gay as christmas also.
