The midweek lottery draw is pre-recorded and has been for quite some time now IIRC.
If the drawn is televisied then it has to be broadcast live - it's a requirement of the National Lottery gaming act.
However the show around it and any other non-draw related material/links can be pre-recorded.
He didn't do Wednesday morning so it looks like he swapped his morning off from Friday to Wednesday.
I think he's recording a series of Hard Spell at the moment at TVC. IIRC there's a couple of evening recordings that you could apply to the ticket unit to see, so Wednesday wouldn't be that much of an effort for Mr Pastry.

Eamonn wasn't doing Sunrise on Wednesday as he had to switch the Christmas lights on in Belfast on Tuesday evening.
I've been of work sick the last couple of days, and it's given me chance to look at Sky News during the day.
The afternoon Sky News Today seems to flow better than when I've caught it before. I guess they've gone back to what they're good at, delivering the news, rather than showing off their new studio at every opportunity. Still not sure about all 3 people around that little podium though, it was nice to see Steve and Mark at the main desk doing a normal looking link in front of the excellent newswall.
What do other people think, has it changed a lot since launch day? I never saw their output during the day from launch.
Ugh, I disagree.
I saw the start of the afternoon 'Today' today and had to turn off for fear of throwing the TV out of the window.
The presenters are just dreadful, with this faux-jokey attitude towards anything. When they go from slapping each other around the heads (this actually happened the other day) to talking about the political situation in the Middle East it's very hard to take them seriously as newsreaders.
It is f*cking awful. The sooner they get rid of that trio the better.
Yes, I agree. I decided to give the SNT p.m. show another go this week, following my previous post. Unfortunately, things haven't improved. The presenters really need to take a look at the SNT a.m. show to see how it should be done. Failing that, they should be forced to watch a recording of themselves just to see how badly they come across.

I've only seen a bit, but the afternoon show dosen't look right whatsoever two grown men and a petite woman presenting around that little podium, looks like a joke really, the a.m show looks a lot better in comparison.
Out of interest, have we actually seen any output from Studio B yet?
The press release at the time stated that "The newsroom itself seats 70 journalists, has eight presentation points, is equipped with 12 cameras, two jimmy jibs and – for the first time – Sky News has a separate studio (Studio B). "
For a start, I haven't personally noticed eight presentation points, but they seem to move about randomly to be honest. But I've seen absolutely nothing of the second studio.
