In Asia we still have blue bar with logo at the bottom without scrolling text, which is there since relaunch, so that black thingie probably comes from Australian service.
I agree on the breakfiller - that needs update.

yeah it's blue with no ticker text here too, it's about time they updated the breakfiller, they should have updated that from the start, what's the point of an expensive makeover, if they can't even brand their channel correctly to a much wider audience.

Maybe they will wait for us over here to relaunch.

Agree Harshy. Find that bizarre too.

Aah I see Sky News Australia hasn't updated, they can see Sky News UK on the fourth screen on their interactive service, I wonder why they don't do the same here....

Did the clock disapear too?

I'm sure that the clock is built onto the ticker instead of them being seperate.

I saw an overnight (recorded) bulletin the other night, where the clock remained on screen throughout the title sequence - evidently the recording also included the ticker, so another clock was generated to mask it.

It's a shame that they don't use the Live at Five logo at weekends, or any of the other presentation devices. The verbal references to the programme name are the only thing that differentiates it.

Presentation-wise, the weekend output is rather bland - it's just two presenters behind a desk. Some might say that's a good thing, but there is a much greater gulf now between the 'feel' of the weekday and weekend output than there was pre-relaunch.

When I got in last night , there was a girl on sky who looked very much like Samantha Simmonds of BBC London. Was it her?

I think so, I've not seen her on BBC London for a while now.

Saturday's Live at 5 was using the logo...but none of the "5 more reasons to watch Live at 5" or the different backdrop.
