Is Thursday the date for the graphics launch? It seems a lot sooner than I expected it to be, though I have no insider knowledge.

It certainly could be. Various people have pointed to them launching this week, noticeably the BBC News graphic designer, who told us to 'see what Sky News do this week'. So if Thursday is the big day, I presume 6am will be the big reveal?

I think people should keep their eyes out on Thursday for a few hover crafts or something along those lines...

If Sky News does get a new look then this week can we have a new thread please - considering this one was set up for the 2005 revamp!

If we have a new thread, can someone lock this one please!!!!!!!!

Gosh, yes, the world might end if someone doesn't find a padlock soon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this thead should only be locked if we know that the graphics will launch this Thursday. If they are, it would be better for a new thread to open just before 6am or at midnight.

That's just my opinion on it.. Very Happy

Yep, didn't mean until they actually launched.

Always used to be common practice here to close the thread speculating about changes when the new look went to air and then open a new one. Makes it far easier to find caps etc. IMO.

He must have had a plane to catch!

He's doing what he does best, and is out covering the Zimbabwe election results today, live in South Africa.

Emma Hurd's mangaged to get to a secret location somewhere in Zimbabwe. I'm sure that if Mugabe loses, JT will do what he did in Kosovo and Iraq and make his way into the country.

EDIT: Thom got there first.. Smile
