If Martin isn't far off, that's very promising.
No idea if this has been mentioned before, but thought I'd bring it up on the off chance... notice Sky have bought the skynews.com domain name and it now redirects to the main Sky News site. Guess this might've been the case for a while? Never really tried it.

Looking at that BBC News insiders website once again, and his comment to watch Sky News next week, really has made me think. Is there any possibility of the new graphics launching tommorow morning?
I think by now though, Sky would have announced it. Fair enough, they may want to keep quiet for the first few month's of development, but surely days before them coming on air they will inform us?

Just to clarify, that was the BBC News Creative Director/Designer's website.

Yeah, obviously they're not going to want to draw attention to Sky News unless there's some point in it. If these new graphics don't launch anytime this week, I can firmly guess they will launch before the 21st. They'll be trying to take the attention away from the anticipated BBC News rebrand, with what sounds like, some very nice graphics!

You're not too far off there.
I hope this is not one of those half-arsed Sky relaunches. Hopefully new graphics means new graphics, not just changing a few but not others. When the current graphics were launched they did not change the sport, coming up stings etc. This time round i would rather they take their time and change everything so it all looks uniform and not bits of the 2005 look, bits of '06 and so on.
I would hope for a new TOTH also,i know we heard that the new one being made was dropped cause Mr Ryley did not like the finished work. I'd like to see something a bit more imaginative than a cube with a countdown clock. My fear however is that these new graphics are an evolution of the current set rather than a new look(which is what is needed). Anyway i doubt we will see the new look tomorrow but i look forward to seeing what they come up with.

I cant say too much. But its not a replica of CNN International. Its very 'sky' glassy pointless animations. Breaking News is looking very nice though! It's likely to all change though as it goes through further development.

They are an evolution. Its a polishing off of the previous set, a rather dramatic polishing off it must be said.
TOTH will be based on the same concept as far as I know, but it will be updated.

I'd stop guessing. I think its a while off yet.

No changes today then, although it was always unlikely.
I wonder if it is this week,as the BBC designer suggests, what day would they launch?
Tomorrow is the 1st of April so perhaps a launch of the first of the month would make sense.
