I've said before I'd launch a "Live at Nine" spin-off with Jeremy Thompson back for an hour at 9pm, and then launch a new evening programme from 6-9pm which could include the 15-minute bulletins say on the hour and half hour, but with features and extended sport, business and entertainment bulletins at points in between - and probably even space for a 15-minute version of Sky.com/news at some point during the 3 hours.
but don't you realise a lot of the changes they made were also about saving money and abiding by budget cuts?
your pontificating is all very well but I'm sure I've read that their ratings for the 15-min bulletins are the same, if not better than before - and it's a lot cheaper to broadcast.
