These comments on Eammon's appearence seem very harsh to me.

What does his appearance have to do with his abilities as a newsreader...

Well Eamonn's appearance must do because he is a terrible presenter and can't do Breaking News too well.

FFS Eamonn's presenting skills are an important part of Sky News's presentation, but whether he is fat, ugly, thin, old, unattractive etc. has NOTHING to do with it!

Well actually in a way a persons appearance/lifestyle does affect their personailty. So maybe if Eamonn was a few pounds less, he'd probably be a bit more excited about his job.

For example if I was a skinny stick presenter and I had to stand at the newswall and interview someone, id worry whether or not i'd be visable because i was so small, then id become nervous and not as good as I could be.

That's not to say your worry would affect other people! Some people are fine with how they are.

Making fun of his weight is kinda personal and unnecessary.

Maybe there should be a thread for making fun of presenters weight just like there is for News 24 now.

I haven't watched Sky News at Seven before, but does the ticker appear normally during the programme?

It's just that at the moment, it's a still image of "More at sky.com/news" and "Email us news@sky.com"

The graphics system had crashed- the 'more at sky.com/news' is only displayed when the ticker doesn't work
