The only other thing that still bugs me is the yellow and black Breaking News ticker. Just change it to red and white to match the normal lower third 'Breaking News' strap.

Or, better still, change the Red/White breaking news strap to yellow/black perhaps - so that it stands out from all the other straps.
I think a yellow and black breaking news strap would be the best option - it would emphasise breaking news from normal stories being reported.
Thats one of the things I dislike about the current graphics, and disliked about the 2006 revamp of the 2005 graphics. The Breaking News strap looked exactey the same as any of the others, the 2005 Breaking News strap was the best though. But I do agree, a yellow and black strap, to suit the ticker would look fine, along with a yellow and black newswall background.
I would however be careful this noble cause to make breaking news stick out on a limb. Remember, sky news survived for many years without having such a distinctive breaking news strap, and indeed it was the newswall that made all the difference rather than the straps. Y'all know my greivances with the current incarnation so I shan't go into that.
But don't forget that this approach was deemed so successful that BBC News 24 attempted to emulate this with thier spinning globe thing.
That's not to say i don't beleive that the breaking news graphic should be black and yellow. They need to decide on a theme and stick with it. One or the other. Not Both.
Wonder who will cover on Live at 5. I hope on Monday the new music comes in, and at a push the new TOTH. I doubt it though, it would just be nice with Dermot also starting on Monday!

I wonder will Dermot be an actual dedicated Sky News anchor that actually works outside his normal hours. Like will he present on location unlike Eamon Holmes. I never watch early morning television, so I have never even seen Eamon presenting.
