Nice use of the JIB camera this afternoon on the News, Sport and Weather. Its similar to the end of the 2005 TOTH, you can see the whole left side of the studio, the fins and the weather area and the shoebox.

Anna Jones joining Mark Longhurst for coverage of the breaking news that Benazir Bhutto has been killed.

Sky's coverage is very good this afternoon, however I am starting to get annoyed by Mark talking too much and not letting Anna say much at all!!

Jeremy Thompson on the 4pm hour, not sure if he's with Anna or another anchor.

It was so nice to have two anchors again on Sky News. It's ok for programmes like Lunchtime Live, but I does make a lot of difference with two people working together rather than one having to fit everything together themselves.

Especially when they still have a second presenter who's just used for headline recaps.

I agree, I hope they realise that too.

I haven't seen Sky News in a while...are they now favouring single headed bulletins? Sorry if I've missed something glaringly obvious!! Smile

They are favouring single-headed bulletins. All of the day's bulletins are now presented by two presenters - one for most of the day's stories and in depth coverage - the other for a quick round up of the headlines.

Overnight it's just about all single-headed.

Well it's been about three months since Sky News last revamped their schedule, so another mini-relaunch must be due imminently surely? Wink

BTW, when does Dermot Murnaghan start?

Must say I have enjoyed seeing Mark Longhurst on air the last few days.He comes across as a no-nonsense presenter who I feel is drastically underused, although admitedly I rarely see Weekend Sunrise.I would love to see him present Afternoon Live with Kay,it would add alot of substance to the programme and maybe make the 4 hours feel less drawn-out.In relation to this I gather Afternoon Live has been losing viewers, anyone have some viewing figures?
