I notice the Sky News homepage has changed slightly, the business and weather boxes have went, in favour of a more simple design, just "WEATHER" or "BUSINESS" with a coloured vertical line next to it. There does seem to be more space though, they've fitted in each of the main stories of the blogs.
On the Sky News editors blog, it reads the following:
"We hope you find our newly designed site an improvement.
The aim is to break up the bottom of our home page and each section, not only making it look more attractive but to offer a wider range of content.
We've changed the weather on the home page from text to a more digestible icon format.
By the way, my forecast for Sky News' weather is that some truly great improvements are on the way in the New Year: we are still putting the final touches to what will be a wonderfully comprehensive service"
New weather graphics on the way? I must say, the current are quite confusing.

There's also been a subtle dropping of the ridiculous "Madeleine" section positioned above "World News".
Interestingly coincides with the first week in 6 months that the Express haven't used the McCann "story" on their front page virtually every day. The Panama mystery is just too tempting.

The site was changed this February
Could this suggest a new on-screen look?
Lets hope so!
Also LIVE streaming from next week
I wonder, live streaming is a step in the right direction.
"We are constantly looking for ways to improve our offering to you, whether through a major re-design coming next Spring, or through the introduction of innovative products, such as our applications for Facebook and the i-Phone."

About time they realised that there was other news going on which was (arguably) more important than the disappearance of one child. I guess the box on the website is to alert people to the change, so that they don't keep emailing Sky News about it. Give it a couple of days and that box will probably vanish too.
