Sky News Australia has changed its music today, still using the 2005 beds/titles etc, but with a much bouncier background to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97AHhleKJPk
I wonder if our Sky News is going to launch the new music with the new titles, that we heard are coming slowly but surely.

Hmm.... interesting. I'm not entirely convinced that this particular percussion track is suited to a news channel - a bit too bouncey and lively for my liking. Possibly a bit difficult to make a full judgement off a low quality youtube vid though.

While interviewing some England fans outside Wembley, some bloke just walked right through the shot and towards the camera, pulling the boom mic to the ground as he went. The sound man gave him horrible look as he stuck the mic back in the air. They carried on for a second but then the camera started shaking and they cut back to the studio.
Did anyone capture this? You Tube awaits.

Hmm I think its very good for Sky News Aussie for better than the new UK crap, and they didn't waste thousands on remixing it like Sky UK.

In my first post here, I'm pleased to report that since yesterday it seems we international viewers are once again allowed to enjoy the Sky News ticker.
I'm not quite sure what the logic was behind ever covering it up. Even in the old blue look where it had the clock to its side, it seemed a little heavy-handed to plaster a static "more at sky.com/news / email us" strap over the entire thing; but in the current setup where we have a neat little "sky.com" tag covering the clock, covering the ticker not only seems unnecessary, but actually deprived us of Breaking News items which now tend to "debut" on the ticker.

Cheers for that. The Sky team all looked very p*issed off, not only at the football but at the guy who just walked through!
I think one of them yells 'Whats the matter with him!'.
