Id say you would do a much better job than John Dosent Have A Clue Ryley.

Why thank you...did I mention you are my new best friend Laughing

No seriously that is one job I would never take.
EDIT: Presentation is my forte. I'm not into the whole editorial aspect side of things.

Actually...can I just ask what eactly are Mr Ryley's duties?

Loving the comment on N24.

Though people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. The current Sky News graphics look - particularly the live+location is virtually a clone of the previous News 24 look.

Sky News are obviously feeling the pinch of a massive drop in ratings and a significant budget squeeze, followed by a potential second drop in ratings if they are kicked off a FTA slot on Freeview for Sky to carry some subscription stuff.

Indeed.

Along with potentially multiple "never wrong for long" examples of Sky News' beacon of truth.

They killed the last Pope 6 times and Harold Pinter once.

Oh well, mistakes happen.

I think Sky News will probably find itself plummeting towards the "zero" rating category once it's removed from Freeview. I don't know the facts, but I'd imagine Sky News does better in Freeview homes than it does in Sky homes too, so they'll probably lose more than half their viewers - if they have any left.

To answer my own question I've done a little digging, and I've put together a little 'series' which will go up on the sky news insider blog later this week.

AIUI it is the opposite - Sky News is more popular in Sky satellite households, and BBC News 24 more popular in Freeview. (Freeview is skewed older and more upmarket, Sky is skewed younger and more downmarket...)

I suppose so, but even so I'd imagine the less popular Sky News on Freeview probably does just as well as the more popular Sky News on Sky as I would guess that the news channels overall perform better on Freeview than on Sky, where there is far more rubbish to choose from before resorting to the news channels!

Isn't it also to do with the positioning of the channels on the EPG?

I want Saturday Live to go back to how it was back in 2005...and for Sunday Live to get up from that god damned desk.

We can only dream though.

Sunday Live is a political programme isn't it? why would you want Adam Boulton traipsing around the set?
