Its got her some publicity, especialy as shes moving to ITV/ITN maybe it was a stunt?
Why would Sky aid the publicity stunt of a defector?

Whether or not she should have made the comment whilst miked up is not the point IMHO.
Whoever faded that mic up needs a damn good talking to, though.

Good point...perhaps they did it to show she was bias in her thoughts and to belittle the future coverage of politics on the ITV News at Ten?
However, I doubt even FOX News UK would stoop to that level!!

Me and my Merlot tend to agree with you, Chris. Unless he had a crystal ball, the sound man would have had no idea what Julie was going to say!
Onto matters Sky - are Allan King and Martin Popplewell still around? What about Helen Fospero?

Does Kay Burley poke that device she holds for show, out of habit or is there an actual reason? I noticed no one else pokes it as much as her.

It's basically the same as the PCs which run in the desks - it allows Kay (and other presenters) to have access to the news wires etc whilst they're mobile in the studio. I doubt she prods it for show - she's probably checkin info/emails etc.

Has Kay being doing her usual walk along the newswall since the new background has came into effect?, I just didn't know if they'd dropped it or not, with the fact that the people working in the 'newsroom' on the background would be practically working at Kay's feet, if she were to walk along the newswall.

Yes i saw her do it earlier.

How was it achieved? Did they just drop the background, or just add bits between the lines?
