Anyone else see Emma and Burley's moment with the rugby ball? Burley kept saying kick the ball but Emma clearly didn't want to and was mindful that it's a small studio...So Emma threw the ball at Burley and Burley didn't catch it ha..shut her up for once!
Yeah I noticed Emma and Kay were having a little chat after Emma read the headlines. Much better than just going back to Kay, who doesn't even say "Thanks Emma"
it looks as though sky have appointed ginny buckley to enter the content for the ticker now, because for a couple of hours this afternoon it was saying "the chairman of northern rock dies after near collapse last month", when actually he has only resigned.
It's the first time i have caught afternoon live today, and I thought it was excellent - Sky News of old - fast paced with plenty of banter between Kay and Emma.
Well I almost had a hart attack when I started reading your post and then I relaised you are making a joke about Ginny.
I didn't see that Kay / Emma moment, I never see the news updates, they are so short.
Plans to launch a radio version of Sky News have been thrown into doubt after Charles Allen's Global Radio pulled out of the joint venture.
Sky News Radio was due to launch on Global's AM frequency in London and as a national digital radio station on Channel 4's digital multiplex next year.
Have the rumoured new music and changes to the toth been shelved?
I really think they need some drastic changes,i personally find the channel quite unwatchable at the moment, and they seem to be doing more and more ad's.I wonder if many of the staff, such as Brazier and Stanford will consider leaving Sky as it is a bit of a shambles at the moment.

To go where though... The BBC aren't exactly in a recruiting frenzy at the moment - and I can't see either of them wanting to present Setanta Sports News.... (Though if ITN provide Virgin with a full News channel - that might be an employment opportunity for some people)
Nice to see that Julie's other interests include caring for aging news presenters and rival commercial broadcasters.
Lol, really good news for everybody concerned, even sky I think in the long run, I felt they recognised her obvious talent but maybe felt she was abit too talent for them - I think 9 times out of 10 the were at a loss as to what to do with her.
Julie is one of their best presenters and her leaving is not good for Sky. But I'm happy for her, Sky News is falling apart and it's good to see someone finding a better job. She won't have to do 4 hours a day, like a slave, and wil get more money. Go Julie!!!
