She was on Afternoon Live yesterday covering the news round-ups - that's her new position.
Complete waste of talent. She is capable of far more high profile than short summaries.
Sky News has lost its way.
Agree. I don't like the single presenter format - it is very difficult to watch. I don't like the extreme close-ups.
The realunched schedule is not being followed, we still have presenters all over the place in different slots.
The whole thing is a bit of a mess. I now watch Sky News much, much less than I used to a few months ago.
Something has to change before the channel is buried.
Sky spent mega bucks three years ago in building the new facility and the massive studio, and now hardly uses any of it.
It reminds me of Tanya Beckett's (BBC World) analogy today of a similar situation elsewhere in business: "designing and developing concorde and then only flying it like a 737 at a snail's pace........" i.e. what was the point?
Get rid of Holmes. Balance the mediocrity and fluffiness with certain programmes of high quality. Use the vast space at your fingertips. And equalise the utilisation of your anchors, because the ever present "stars" who fly solo for most of the day, are gonna run out of fuel soon. And their ever-presence is becoming an enormous turn-off.
Sorry to the Etchinghams, Thompsons, Jones and Bottings of this world, but facts are facts.
Thought Michael Wilson was pretty belting tonight. He comes across really well.
I can't decide if this single-anchor thing works, though. I certainly don't think it's as bad as some people on here make out, I just think the problem is that it feels less and less like the Sky News of old.
At least Sky can almost get away with it. Heaven forbid if News 24 decided to follow suit, hours on end of Peter Sissons on a Saturday afternoon is enough to drive anyone insane.
I'm sure Sky will constantly be reviewing it - if it leads to a decline in viewers (which, to be honest, I doubt it will) then I would imagine it will be changed. Nothing is set in stone.

Dermot Murnaghan is defecting to Sky News and will host Sky News Today ( whatever that is right now) from January 1. I hope this means Sky is leaving the single anchored format. They should put him with Julie and leave Kay's show as it is, becuase it's the only good thing.
Bring back Anna and Martin in the evening and they can l;eave Anna B.on Sky News @ 7 because I think it's good.
I noticed at the Afternoon Live toth the announcement said "This is Sky News Afternoon Live, with Anna Botting" instead of just saying "This is Afternoon Live" ... Anna is presenting this afternoon, as you may have guessed I think this is the first time we've had anyone except Kay anchoring.
