There is some of the new music airing on Sky.com/News

I guess you will just have to wait to hear the new TOTH+Stings Surprised Just because it didn't happen today doesn't mean it wont happen until 2009 remember!

I don't care anymore, what's the use of new music if their schedule is crap.
BTW they have a new look in their Central London studios, it's like the Sky News Center.

Sky News is no longer pay TV on cable in the UK, since the creation of Virgin Media, Sky pulled all their channels apart from sport and movies.

Sky didn't pull their channels, they just put the price up and Virgin Media decided not to pay. Smallworld Media still has it as part of their Base pack for example.

Though there is an argument that that is semantics. If Sky were aware that the price rises they were asking for were unacceptable to Virgin and made them anyway - then that is pretty much the same as pulling them... I think Sky were caught unawares by Virgin not playing the doormat and instead standing up to them.

Interesting that Ofcom are now, finally, investigating the monopoly issues of Sky owning both the most popular digital pay-TV platform and a large bouquet of channels. Is it a co-incidence that none of the Sky branded HD channels are available on HD cable for example?

Yes but what exactly is the point in not launching them now?

I just dont get it.

On another note,Anna Jones did SN at 7 today, perhaps it would make more sense for Martin S to do the seven o clock show aswell as sky.com news.

If they did this along with just making the 8-10 slot regular Sky News with Anna Jones, the schedule would be alot better imo

Complete waste of talent. She is capable of far more high profile than short summaries.

Sky News has lost its way.
