Obviously disappointed myself as i saw some stuff that has obviously been dropped. My source has 'suggested' that we may see more over the coming days and weeks, but this is sky news and IMO I wouldn't bet on it.
IMO it would have been good to see Sunrise moved to the shoebox and 'sky today' - actually use its logo for a start.
I remember on saturday live when martin used to present it he moved over to the editors desk to discuss the days sports action. It was just things like that that made it different and a little bit interesting to watch.
The music - i don't know what happened about that. I was only played a couple of bits. Greg I think was hinting that it probably wouldn't be released today anyway looking back at his posts.
TOTH - I am surprised. I can say nothing more. It does exist though.
Kay as ever is second to none, however, i just think they look a bit pathetic sat there on a couple of stools, if they're going to sit just stick them at the pod. There's no reason why she couldn't move about a bit.
Very disappointed. A bit ashamed as well that sky news haven't had the guts to go through with this. The trouble is there are two very strong schools of thought there and this undoutedly (as martin remarked) has lead to a very confused image and one that lacks a strong identity and focus.
The channel is a shadow of its former self.

Very disappointed, its a shame we didn't see the new titles, I hope there something like the new sting - but who knows, we might never see them!
Its again inconsistent that the day we get a new schedule, everything looks the same exept from a new logo for Afternoon Live and some quick 2 second stings for the headlines.
Anyway, I can't see them creating new music and titles, and not using them. They are hopefully just waiting for the best time to launch them.

Best time to launch them? Possible Autumn general election?
Maybe they're holding back until next week to see if there's an announcement.

at 10 it was the basic "This is Sky News with Julie Etchingham" yada yada
Yikes, you've got to hope this isn't really it and we'll get the real thing next week and everything will look good and be coherent... but somehow I doubt it!
The 2005 relaunch got a lot more criticism than it deserved, Rubin aside. I think the problem was that prior to that we'd grown used to a channel that might have been a little rough around the edges, but had a lot of charm, was very friendly, and of course very good at the breaking news thing. With the relaunch the channel suddenly became very slick and polished, it might have been a bit of a shock at the time because it wasn't the same as what went before it, but looking back, once they settled in to things it got very good. Especially compared to the mess the channel looks at the moment.
Completely agree. As a new Sky News viewer I found the channel much more watchable following the revamp than before - or since it's been undone.
The only problems IMO were the primetime scheduling. World News Tonight had an awful presenter, while Sky Report at 7pm was never going to rival Channel 4 News - and having both was never financially viable.
They should have opted for a more generic Sky News Tonight from 7pm, then put Sky Report at 9pm as the flagship hour.

They don't even call it that way, Julie said Sky News Today last hour. I don't remember what did the voice say at the TOTH.
