Somebody mentioned that they couldn't utilise the studio and walk around as they did in 2005 with one presenter, yet they have done this everyday on lunchtime live

But that would mean someone else may steal her thunder about being the most important and being allowed to walk around. I am sure it would go down better if the rest of the presenters were just chained to the desk!!

Lol - that opening sequence just sums it all up!!

I'm glad Kay's show is the same, with a nice opening and a new logo. 4 houres with her will not be boring as the last 4 hours with Julie.
This looks like the only decent part of the new schedule.

No surprise there then.

If they valued their viewers as much as they massage KB's ego they would be onto a winner!!

The voiceovers are not ready, the last one said :''This is Sky News with Kay Burley''. I wonder what's going on there??
Will there be any new music and TOTH or is this some kind of joke???

Disappointing that the changes weren't as extensive today as we'd expected, although I'm glad they've extended Kay's show. Say whatever you like about her supposed ego, she's still an excellent presenter and a hell of a lot more watchable than other parts of the schedule.

Were the other changes rumoured a red herring, or are we to still expect them in the near future?

Fair enough - but why do this for her programme and not Sunrise, Sky Today etc? Why should a news 'channel' concentrate so much freedom of ideas for one fraction of the schedule?

This supposed revamp or even refresh is a joke. It aint that different from a week or even a few months ago. What a anti climate!

I was wondering how will Kay do 4 hours standing, but now I see they gave her a chair. I agree that Kay is a great presenter, you can put her on air all day long and she'll be good.
I really like the Afternoon Live logo, I hope they'll make the same for other shows.
Samantha is still doing short updates.

I aint a fan of KB (bet you'll all be surprised at that revelation!!).

I guess we can say that the rumours on here are rubbish - they even got who is doing the summaries wrong!

Perhaps BBC Reporting Scotland will get a revamp before Sky News afterall Laughing

Thats very funny actually, it looks like they only changed the word to afternoon and moved the little clock hand from the 12 position to the 1 position.

For Lunchtime Live, they had 2 logos - one for the 12 o clock hour, and one for the 1 o clock hour. So they've just changed "lunchtime" on the 1pm logo.
