I hope TOTH doesn't include clock and that screen, like now. Will my wishes be fulfilled?
Also I hope the current headlines music is remixed, but not lost because I love it. It never gets boring.

The TOTH music is completly new, and radical. So be prepared. Wink

If it's anything like the 2001 music, as you mentioned, then it should be good! Smile

Think coming up bed, but more signature theme...

Can you confirm its a new TOTH,like new look as well as new music?

And are the graphics staying the same?

Sky News Active is broken.

When I turned on, just the Sport screen (and the main Sky News screen) were working, but when it got to the end of the video instead of starting again it just started showing the animated Sky News logo. Each screen is slowly coming back now. The last time I saw it do this was when the Queen Mother died. As the new was embargoed, Sky closed down all the screens on Active and then as soon as the news was released at 6pm(?) each screen started showing various pre-recorded tributes and reports.

Edit: All screens are back now.

Yes there is going to be a new TOTH, however in the same format, short and brief only lasting about 5 seconds.

There was us hoping for a nice 'pre-2005' TOTH sequence! Never mind! Sad

Even though its going to be short, gregmc hasn't exactley said thers still the massive logo rotating, a countdown, the globe.. it could have the same format but be totally different.

I would prepare yourselves for something erm...how can I put it....different?

I nearly shat myself the first time I saw everything together. I was not expecting it. i don't want to give too much away as it will spoil the surprise for everybody.

The TOTH feels alot more structured now. Which is very good.

Whilst i still don't agree with the decision on principle, I feel they've gone the right way about doing what they want to do.

Ohhhh, so many secrets I could tell, but alas I think you can wait.

Sorry, have just spoken to a friened of mine who is still back at the sky news centre, and as far as he reckons they are still undecided about alot of the nitty gritty.

As for graphics and stuff...John Ryley gave you your answer a few months back when he said something to the effect of...'expect more bespoke story specific graphics, as with the Maddie McCann case.'

EDIT: As for graphics for shows I'm simply not at liberty to divulge. Laughing

Oh goody! The good old "I know something you don't" post.

A staple of TV Forum over the years - although completely unnecessary. If you know stuff, which you don't want to share - then don't bother saying that you know information.

I hope they've got a better, more "funky" bed for the announcer at the TOTH, I would guess there not using the orchestral one from Monday?

Completly new music package, not sure quite on the release. Very dancey, and no orchestra. Only in some of the stings. Wink

I've said enough for now Surprised its very different though as I have already said.

Hmm, well they already do story-specific graphics for lots of major stories (backgrounds for the two-ways etc) so that wouldn't be new, so I'm guessing American-style story-specific supers as well.

Sorry, I'm being that other staple of TV Forum around any whiff of a relaunch, the pointless clueless guesser. Smile

Should be interesting next week anyway.
