I really dont know.At first i thought perhaps it was a special week news wise or something but i dont think it is and it is the only page to be updated.
And 4 hours of Julie,4 hours of Kay,2 of Jeremey and 5 of Anna is hardly much of a schedule.
Ive emailed John Ryley so hopefully he can shed some light on it.
All they need to do to create a great schedule is put Martin and Julie together from 9-12, Kay 12-2, Colin and Anna 2-5, Jeremy and Anna 5-8 and Gillian, Charlotte, Steve etc. 8-12. It would be nice to have one appointment to view programme on at 7.30 but only for half an hour.
I just wish they'd stop fannying about and change it back to 2 presenters most of the time.
Agreed. Before the 2005 relaunch Sky News's USP was its consistency - tune in any time from 6am to midnight and you'd get more or less the same format - two presenters, plenty of live two-ways, guests etc.
Since then - and even more so since they dismantled the relaunch schedule - they've shot that consistency to pieces.
The SKY EPG has now changed and the only change showing for next week is Jeff Randall Live (Sky News' Jeff Randall lifts the lid on big business issues, delivering insight into the fast paced business world. Highlights can be seen on sky.com/news and Sky News Active)
Well, if this is the new schedule, its good.
If Martin was with Julie it would be better though, along with Eamonn and a female anchor actually presenting with him, not just doing news updates.
I like the sound of 'Afternoon Live', but will they really scrap Lunchtime Live
On the few times I've caught the afternoon Sky News Today with Julie on her own over the past weeks it's reminded me of the ITV News Channel, horribly slow paced, quiet, flat and boring.
