ginnyfan, nice to see you back, you dirty traitor
.
- and may I enquire as to how you're surviving without Ginny?
I did try CNNi, but when you've seen Kay Burley do her thing, nothing really compares.
She is most defintiely, without a doubt, the most amazing woman I have ever met. Whatever your opinion of her presenting is, you have to say, is is truly in a league of her own. Something that I don't think comes through enough when you watch her.

jli4637, I'm good, but Sky News is not the same without Ginny. I watched a viedo of her mistake with Harold Pinter on You Tube and it's so funny. She must have been so scared at that moment.
Sky News is generally not the same anymore. Many schedule and presenters changes have hurt the channel very bad. Look at it today, only one programme with 2 anchors (Martin & Anna). It's a bit sad. I watc CNN a lot more, although I don't like their new studios.

Hey, I'm hurting bad too, but I'll see them out 'til the end. I don't like what they're doing, but I think it will need a change of management before we see any decent changes.
Just for the record, Ginny wasn't bad, it's just that she was a victim of an overly radical relaunch, which denied her the chance to gain some valuable experience doing some of those overnight shifts.
I've just been on TV-Ark, and the cips from 2005, nearly brought a tear to my eye
(how sad am I?) , what have they done to it? I think though to a certain extent many of the presenters have shot themselves in the foot, becasue now that News 24 and CNNi are established channels, they have built up their own work-force, and now there is no room for any of them.
EDIT: I've always wanted to know this, how did the polecam actually work? Was it actually a proper camera on a large stick or what?

It was always a bit shakey and not smooth which is why they brought in proper jibs.
