What shockingly dull and messy graphics for the local election coverage from Sky News at one point. Some presenter standing at the wall with a terribly over-obliqued map of the UK with a horrendously large square blob to locate the relevant region, and then a very basic linear-keyed graphic over the right of the shot with results on. Oh, and a messy looking lower-third strap. Awful.

I notice Sunrise is titled Sunrise With Julie Etchingham tomorrow obviously they want somebody with past election experience in but I would of thought Mark Longhurst would have been able to handle it.Looks like Sky are going to do a good job with the Elections tonight,Martin is in his element at the moment up at the newswall.

This morning it was Helen Fospero anchoring with Martin Popplewell newsreading so I suspect Mark Longhurst is on leave.

A bit of a giggle from sunrise this morning.
Neil Sean was talking about the fact that Mitchell and Webb were quite serious when not performing, to which Eammon replied something like "unlike us SERIOUS PEOPLE (?) who are a laugh off camera!" Laughing

Why can't Sky News sort the problem of going to an ad break in mid sentence? It's just happened again. It's dogged them for years.

Don't the gallery and MCR talk?

Yes, I've wondered that myself.

It's like they forget to look at the clock, and then suddenly realise there's a break due in 2 seconds time or worse.

BBC News 24 is streaming 24/7, Sky News should do the same thing?

No Lunchtime Live tomorrow on Sky apparently, Sky News Today runs from 9 till 5, with Kay Burley in Sedgfield, Julie Etchingham in Westminster and Adam Boulton in Downing Street. Live at Five will also come from Westminster. Martin Stanford and Anna Jones will be in studio.
