Sky News

Well I had to be up early this morning anyway...but I must admit I've got up a little earlier to see if Sunrise is any more watchable than it used to be...

And it's excellent in my opinion - Eamon and Lorna surprisingly work really well.

Love the TOTH sequence - nice to have a change from the globe to honest and the music just sounds absolutely wonderful - very big.

Noticed things are starting to change already - the background to the newspaper graphics lasted just one outing - it's now a more subtle affair which means you can actually make out the pages this time.

Anyhow, very lovely - but still too early to say whether the new format is going to work. Sunrise feels much the same as Sky News ever has to be honest...which is reassuring.

And I can see I'm going to get sick of those "coming up at..." trailers played out of the break.

All very nice so far from what I've seen in my opinion. So much better than the last lot of graphics.

Pressing Red now takes you straight into Active, much quicker. Although this happened on the first day of the last relaunch in 2001, so it might change yet.

Ah... A much better Breaking News strap. Didn't see if it animated in, but the famous woosh caught my attention when I wasn't watching.

Wonder where they got the inspiration for that graphic from...

Dont like the Breaking news straps much.

I think they are quite nice to be honest , Also heard someone on TV-Newsroom-Forums saying that the "bars" changed colour which is a nice touch

Yellow, Blue and Purple apparently.

The coloured strips of light in the studio, are yellow, for the mornings, then orange, light blue, purple etc, and red for breaking news...

And they turned red when the breaking news came in - nice touch especially since they're not always in front of the newswall - so they can't do their customary red newswall.

It is absolutely lovely to have a "soft" set of sorts - Sunrise has been longing for something like it and certainly benefits the programme I think!
