What's the latest with Virgin & Sky. Will Sky News be returing in the near future to Virgin Media?

Nothing much has been said yet, but from what I was reading on MediaGuardian at the time of the switch off, then they could be off for at least 18 months the way things are going.

Just do what I did, keep Virgin and get yourself a Freeview box instead, works wonders.

Anyone know the actual reason why the live Sky News channel isn't available as a stream on their website? Or, if it is there sometimes, why not all the time?
All I find on the site under the 'live / events' section is one player which usually seems to play a headlines round up.

Interesting to watch the 'eathquake' reports this morning. Sky gave out an 0207 'Eye witness' number, never seen them give out a direct landline number before.

EDIT: Earthquake confirmed, 4.7 on Richter scale

Maybe they are having some kind of technical problem. That would explain why they are holding up print outs instead of showing graphics too. Oh yeah, before anyone else points it out, it should be an 020 number, not 0207.

I don't think so, I think that was just the quickest way to get things on air for this kind of item.

The quickest and cleanest way is to put the website to air like BBC News 24 have done.

They're showing the printout from the website now.

Has anyone seen Lorna Dunkley present a weekend bulletin since she was moved from Sunrise to "Strengthen the weekend line up?" Today it was Paula Middlehurst (seems to do every weekend) and Orla Chennaiou (who's name has been recorded by the voice of God now!)

I think she was doing the weekend Live At 5 last week. I'm pretty sure it was her on when Sky News was on in a cafe.

Orla had a v/o ages ago, and Lorna worked last weekend with Steve.
