That camera has been there for ages.

The Ironwork is simply so they can make some changes to the lighting rig in that area.

Will the ironwork be removed? Or does the camera and lighting actualy hang from the iron frame??

I was wondering what that thing was. It wasn't there on Saturday, that's when this pic was taken. I hope they make the newsroom lighter, it's too dark.

The lighting hangs from the roof and the camera is pointing through a gap in railings on the first floor walkway on that side.

The Ironwork is simply to provide a nice safe platform to be able to reach lights above the heads of journos without having to move them so they can continue whilst work is being done.

What's the point anyway of those red curtains / wall covering over there?
Not only does it look strange but must be annoying for the journos who work next to it already in partial darkness.

Not curtains.

Actually is a rather nice backlit map of the world... unfortunately can't make that out at all on the telly.

Hi all! When you go on the Sky News website and you click on a link on the left hand side - do some of you get the pages of the old look come up sometimes? I just clicked on the business page and the old look came up.

I had the chance yto watch sky news Today for the first time in a long while and how refreshing it was to see it back to somewhere near its old style. Martin really is excellent at the newswall and Colin and Julie are starting to look like a good team on the Pm edition too.
on another note Adam boulton is on Have I got News For you tonight Exclamation

What's the latest with Virgin & Sky. Will Sky News be returing in the near future to Virgin Media?
