No harm done Wink

All I did was press 'quote'. I can't be held responsible if these new-fangled, magic calculating machines put the wrong thing in the wrong place.

Please don't get arsey with me Bob.
I would be more careful when quoting in the future. Humans operate computers!

I wasn't being remotely arsey with you. I thought it was evidently clear from my response I was, in a light-hearted way, simply pointing out that I'd merely pressed the quote button and hadn't deliberately tried to misquote you or anyone else.

I understand plain text can remove nuance and subtly from what we're trying to say but I find it hard to see why you think I was being arsey.

I got your attempt at light-hearted humour. Apparently, certain other members are a bit more sensitive. And f_cking stupid.

I hope you are not a journalist. Misquoting is not a side splitted matter!!
And I would rather have my f_cking credibility for using facts than not taken to f_cking court.

Seriously though, Sky News can't be happy that they have lost a potential 3 million viewers - esecially as they are also due to lose the freeview viewers in the summer (subject to Ofcom approval)

Well if rumours are true a number of journalists are considering defecting from Sky to the BBC. But the question is, if they did defect where would they go, News 24 seems to have a pretty full schedual when all the presenters are there, and they all have quite high profiles, and surely they won't move to the BBC unless they have a fixed time, thats why some of them want to leave Sky.

Considering every few months they vote for strike action due to planned redundancies I don't think there is a huge number of vacancies at the BBC for Sky News employees to transfer too.

Presenter wise though I wouldn't be surprised if Julie or Kay became more involved with Five News again.

Would some of the Sky News presenters not maybe go to ITV News as they have a bit of a presenter shortage?

Once Nina returns though the main gap will be filled - while both Geraint Vincent and Romilly Weakes now seem to be firmly part of the presenting team.

Indeed, a very senior presenter is rumoured to be "livid" with the set-up.

I hate to use the analogy - but I will - it's like shooting yourself in the foot.

I hope nobody leaves the channel.
Did anyone see Julie sneeze live on air this afternoon? It was funny, she and Martin P. were good today.

Did anyone see the McCartney-Mills court case story?

They showed the joint statement on screen, and large chunks of the sentence were obscured by the .... wait, which channel am I watching? I keep forgetting. Gee I must be stupid.

EDIT: Interestingly, Sky News Aus/NZ must have been getting a clean feed the whole time, probably even before last week's changes. The story has just gone to air as part of the local bulletins, and it has no tower logo in the way at all. The same has been true of every other UK-based story too, it seems.

I know, it would be a help if there was some sort of... I don't know, a sort of rotating cube, with the logo on it. There would be no point to having it, just to remind you which channel you're watching, because its easy to forget.
